Destination Montreal
Montreal, Quebec, transforms into a magical winter wonderland where European charm meets Canadian warmth. As snow blankets the historic streets of Old Montreal, the city glows with festive lights, outdoor skating rinks, and a spirit of celebration. Winter festivals like Montréal en Lumière and Igloofest bring music, art, and gourmet experiences to life, while cafés and bistros offer refuge with hot chocolate and hearty Québécois comfort food. Visitors can wander through charming neighbourhoods, admire the city’s architecture dusted in snow, and experience a unique bilingual culture that thrives in every season. Montreal in winter is a cozy, creative, and unforgettable experience — full of light, movement, and joie de vivre.
Montreal — A City of Dancers
Montreal is a vibrant and inspiring city for dance artists, offering a rich and diverse landscape of movement practices, performance, and collaboration.
Renowned for its avant-garde and interdisciplinary spirit, the city is home to internationally acclaimed choreographers, innovative companies, and a dynamic independent scene.
From experimental studios to world-class festivals such as Festival TransAmériques and Quartiers Danses, opportunities to create, connect, and grow are endless.
With its affordable cost of living (compared to other major arts hubs), multilingual culture, and deeply rooted artistic community, Montreal is an ideal place to conduct research, develop new work, and expand your network in a supportive and stimulating environment.
Among the many attractions that bring artists together in Montreal during the summer is the iconic Tam-Tam du Mont-Royal.
