We support the desire of dance artists and like-minded professionals, to expand their career by including Mom and Baby and Parent and Child dance in their palette of teaching techniques, and to consider MamaDances as a parallel career to their other performing activities and  employment. It is not possible to make a living as a MamaDances teacher alone. This is a supplement to other revenue streams.

A MamaDances teacher is an entrepreneurial dance artist. You create your own schedule and define your own working hours. You can take complete pride in the development of community in your neighbourhood or city. Classes are generally best-offered Monday to Friday 9-3pm and Saturday mornings before 11:30 am. The classes are not extremely physically strenuous but do require a lot of energy, skill and concentration.

We recommend each trainee to study the videos and guide, and prepare materials in the evenings to solidify the learning. Most class content is accompanied by videos.

A MamaDances teacher has formal professional dance training or its equivalent in dance experience, is acknowledged by his/her peers, has teaching experience and loves babies and children. Exceptions can be made for other professionals wanting to incorporate movement into their practices.

Those coming from outside Canada will be required to purchase their own teachers insurance.

* All future teachers will be required to sign a confidentiality agreement and a liability waiver at the beginning of the training.

This will allow the teacher to teach Mother and Baby or Parent and Child Dance classes by incorporating the course content into their programs at (your) their own discretion, and to respond to job offers in the field. This does not grant  (you) the teacher the right to use the trademark name MamaDances. The teacher’s accreditation would appear as …” ( name of teacher) has completed the MamaDances Teachers Training. ..or ( Name) is the recipient of Certification of Completion of The MamaDances Teachers Training program.

Once the Certificate of Completion is received, at a later date, either in person or remotely, the trainee will have the option of receiving an evaluation. A successful evaluation is required if the intention is to follow the course curriculum exactly ( within reason) and to operate using the trademark name MamaDances. or MamanDanse or another translation of the same name.. Successful Evaluation will give   the option to engage with MamaDances using the MamaDances Teachers Certification Agreement. Please communicate your desire to have an evaluation at the beginning of your training.

Eryn Dace Trudell herself has the right to grant (or not) the use of the MamaDancesTrademark name, depending on the results of her final evaluation.

The signing of the MamaDances Teachers Certification Agreement will allow the teacher to produce and operate their own classes ( satellites) using the MamaDances trademark and to offer the MamaDances program to an organization within their community. MamaDances may also wish to offer you contracts within in its own programi

You may need to purchase certain supplies needed to deliver the different MamaDances programs – during the training, such supplies will be supplied.

Host of many festivals, Montreal is very busy during the summer. We suggest that if you are coming from outside Montreal, you start looking for accommodation as soon as you register for the Teacher’s Training.

If you are coming with you children, we also encourage you to inform us in advance, so we can try to help you with finding childcare.

If many participants come accompanied by their children, the cost of a babysitter during the course could be divided among them.

MamaDances provides supplementary revenue to local studios through hourly rental or additional programming, and can provide visibility to local businesses through promotional partnerships and affiliate marketing campaigns. MamaDances can be an addition to programming in community centres, cultural organization, dance schools, studios or other appropriate venues for physical exploration with similar vales.

"In the tumult of everyday life, quality time with my daughter is rather limited, MamaDances for me was a sacred time when there was nothing else but my daughter, music, my body and the others around me. I am convinced that MamaDances helped to link the attachment that is woven between my daughter and me following the happiness that we experienced together in dance."

Dominique and Maila
Mom and Baby Dance

"MamaDances was a voyage of discovery in dance and music – shared with my son. It was a fantastic opportunity to bond, express and communicate with my son through movement. We loved the community feel to our class, that was complimented by a passionate teacher."
