Dear friends, family, colleagues and dance enthusiasts,

MamaDances has had a wonderful Fall season! Thank you for being part of it. Having two new teachers join our team has granted me the time to invest in the enrichment of the program. I am always open to hearing about your experience and receiving suggestions about how we can improve and where we might go in the future.

MamaDances Gathering

When: December 18^th, 2016 - 15:30 to 17:30
Where: UQAM, Dance Department
840 Rue Cherrier, Montreal, QC H2L 1H4

Our children’s balance benefits enormously from the support of the community. MamaDances’ classes contribute to creating a strong bond between children and their parents. They give children the opportunity to learn to socialise, while providing an environment where they can discover and develop their neuromotor skills in a playful way.

What is a Gathering?

It’s a family event, where the community and the class participants’ friends and relatives are invited to discover the benefits of MamaDances.

It is an occasion to get together, socialise, share and celebrate with friends and family.
It is an informal show, where friends, families and MamaDances’ class participants will have a chance to see all the choreographies learned during the Mama & Baby Classes and Parent & Child Classes.

Finally, it is a multi-generational dance. There will be games such as hoops, balloons and ribbons, as well as music to entertain participants of all ages.

Skinner Releasing Technique is a dance training methodology combining technique with creative process, which is greatly influencing today's dancing aesthetics. By cultivating effortlessness, one begins letting go of unnecessary holding in the physical self, gaining flexibility, efficiency, freedom. Through guided imagery, music and hands-on partner studies the practice facilitates a deep kinesthetic experience of movement and in time a shedding of outer layers.
