Nous espérons que vous recevez cette infolettre dans la langue appropriée. Si ce n’est pas le cas, vous devrez mettre à jour votre profil, désinscrire et/ou changer votre préférence linguistique. This week Kinga Michalska has been in the classes doing her magical dance with the camera. It fills me with joy to see the action through her eyes. Her insight lends creative spirit to the energy of the room, crystallizing in time, the ephemeral moments. I am honoured that The Department of Dance at UQAM will house the 2015 MamaDances Fundraiser and Gathering on Sunday May 31 from 3 to 5pm. I welcome everyone who has ever taken part in MamaDances to come and celebrate this powerful landmark. One day, every parent will know that these kinds of dance programs are an option. My promise to myself and my family, to pause, breathe, regroup, rest, rejuvenate, consolidate, and focus my energy wisely has already created enormous shifts of clarity, generosity and space for the appearance of benevolent events. Recovery is non-negotiable. Sincerely, Eryn

May 11-22 Skinner Releasing Technique Intensive
Skinner Releasing Technique The Skinner Releasing Technique changed my life. It undid the knots in my mind and my body. It reset my perception of what dance is and what I was capable of within it. It gave me courage to step into the unknown without fear. It freed me from my aching, poverty stricken knees and my overweight phobias. After 4 years of stress-full formal rigorous traditional dance training, I woke up in an SRT class and my right gesture leg floated freely side high past the height of my right ear. I am one of three Certified Canadian teachers of this revolutionary approach to dance training which has significantly influenced contemporary dance as we understand it today. I have the rare opportunity to teach two consecutive weeks, the first 10 classes of the Introductory pedagogy of phenomenal technique. Please join me. Skinner Releasing Technique Intensive at Studio 303 with Eryn Dace Trudell May 11-22, 2015 • 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. (2 weeks, Mon-Fri) $135 SRT is a dance practice for all those with an interest in engaging in the dynamic dialog between imagination and movement. Guided poetic imagery, music and hands-on partner studies facilitate deep kinaesthetic experience. The practice stimulates the process of letting go of one’s tension and holding patterns releasing new possibilities in how we perceive and how we dance. Since 2004, Eryn is a certified SRT facilitator offering classes and workshops. ( French is already on Studio 303 website) Please contact (514) 393-3771 or at [email protected]. A non-refundable deposit of $20 is required to reserve your spot.
