Joyeuses Fêtes!

En ce moment de l’année où l’effervescence ambiante nous emporte souvent dans un tourbillon de tâches, de listes et d’achats, rappelons-nous que l’essentiel est souvent beaucoup plus simple que nous le croyons. Joy, peace, health and love to all!

I want to start the year by thanking everyone who has taken part in building the MamaDances experience. MamaDances is a unique and innovative concept that bring parents together with their children in a artistic, creative, playful and physical activity. Although there were other Parent Child Dance classes offered in classes in studios, their main purpose is to familiarize the child with the studio before they begin their pre-ballet, creative dance or other programmes that follow. NOne of these programs purpose was to get the parents moving WITH the child. The Mom and Baby Program is unique in that it has nothing to do with getting back in shape or losing the pregnancy pounds. Its purpose is purely celebratory and aesthetic, built around a precious moment in a woman's life where her transformation ( her matrascence ) is honoured. There have been thousands of participants over the years and I am so grateful for their confidence.

Along the way there has been so much generosity. Many of the support people behind MamaDances have accepted salaries that are half of what they should have made. I am proud that I have been able to pay my teachers respectable hourly wages...
