Mama Dances Workshop

Guided by well known artist, Eryn Dace Trudell (BFA Dance, Juilliard) using dance to incite well-being and physical awareness, connection with, and autonomy of your child through world and elemental rhythms, imagination and visual stimulation. Each "mamababy" team is different, and we will, together, discover how, within a creative process structure, from lyrical and meditative to percussive and aerobic, with moments of "just being"... present and playful. Bring comfortable clothes, and a baby carrier if you wish, though, we will be dancing around our babies, dancing for our babies, and dancing with our babies in our arms.

Eryn Dace Trudell – Biography

Eryn became a mother in 2005 after 15 years as a professional dancer, choreographer, presenter, producer and teacher. She holds a BFA in Dance from Juilliard and is certified in Skinner Releasing Technique. Eryn began this pursuit of "mama dancing research" with the debut of Mama dances!1000 mains at Festival Transatlantique, (link to press kit) a choreography involving seven professional dancers and their babies. The captivating Mama dances group of dancers explores and illuminates the physical relationship and the spontaneous events that transpire between mother and child.

Eryn founded Mama dances classes and workshops in 2006, encouraging and inviting all mothers and guardians to dance with their babies and share their discoveries in the process.
