Eryn Dace Trudell, Founder, CEO and Artistic Director
Eryn Dace Trudell, Founder, CEO and Artistic Director, is a dance artist, producer, presenter, choreographer, performer and teacher, originally from Ontario and now living in Montreal. She has experience in all aspects of dance from thought to stage. Her versatile career of 20+ years includes commissions from notable theatre, dance and opera companies and award-winning choreography.
Ms Trudell’s students include professional and non-professional adult dancers, educators, children, and parents and children. She particularly enjoys inclusive dance practices, which ignite community spirit through artistic physical exploration. Ms Trudell has taught far and wide from the Cirque du Soleil in Montreal to Leviathan Studio on Lesqueti Island. Her most recent choreography: Idealicious, playfully dances the alphabet, and continues to inspire young audiences throughout NFLD and Labrador. Trudell holds a BFA in Dance from Juilliard, is a certified facilitator of Skinner Releasing Technique™ and a practitioner of Contact Improvisation (CI). She is active within the global CI Community, performing, promoting and teaching Contact Improvisation. She is a member of ELAN ( The English Language Artists Network), The Canadian Dance Assembly (CDA), Regroupement Québécois de la Danse (RQD) The Canadian Actors Equity Association (CAEA) and The Dancers Transition Centre (DTRC). Eryn was a single mother from 2006 to 2013. Thus MamaDances was born of necessity.
